Okay so technically this cocktail is actually called a 'ninja turtle' and it's one I've been making for a few years now, but the colour just instantly reminds me of Topaz and Rose dying all of the Mortmain's clothes green, and it complements the cover of my edition of I Capture the Castle just as Rose's Crème de Menthe complements her hair. So in honour of Dodie Smith and Read Women Month I am renaming this drink The Mortmain!
The Mortmain
Ingredients:
- Gin
- Blue Curaçao
- Orange juice
- Ice
Method:
- Half fill a tall glass with ice.
- Add 1 measure of your favourite gin (I usually use a shot glass for measuring) and 1/5 a measure of blue curaçao.
- Top up with orange juice.
- That's it!
Now you can sip your delicious Mortmain with your feet rested in the kitchen sink while you try not to get too carried away with those Americans who just moved into town!
